Our Projects & Collaborations: Honouring Tradition, Creativity, and Connection in Every Design

What started as a simple idea — a sports shirt — sparked something much bigger. At Coolangatta State School, creativity came to life through a powerful art project led by Bundjalung artist Steven Bekue.

In small groups, students produced individual artworks that were then carefully scanned and woven together by Steven into one cohesive and meaningful design — proudly featured on the school’s senior shirts.

Make your story come to life

Students became storytellers, creating artworks that reflected their connection to self, school, community, and Country. With Steven’s guidance, these pieces were woven into a single design, transforming their collective voice into something they could wear with pride.
